It was awesome to get back to the boat and settled back in. Thanks a bunch to our boat neighbors Jan and Chuck for picking us up at the airport. We’re lucky to have great friends in San Diego.
After quickly unpacking our stuff we spent a night aboard at Fiddlers Cove Marina and cruised over to Pier 32 on November 21. We met up with Natalie’s Dad and his wife Pam for the weekend. They made the trip out from Arizona to visit and help us with final provisioning.
Friday night Sully went to Alyse’s 4th birthday party
Saturday night we went provisioning and got ready for a boater pot luck and our going away party. It was great to get to hang out with more friends, but was super busy. It felt like a wedding reception having so many people to say “Hi” to.
Lauren and Veg… Errr. Kevin, my buddy from USS Juneau
Sully’s Grandma and Grandpa visited for the weekend and helped us so much with provisioning runs and watching Sully. They made him so happy by going to the National City Trolley Depot! Thank you for your help and the visit!
Barb and Sully having some drumsticks
Matt brought our watermaker back from the repair shop. Thanks for keeping it in your living room while we were on vacation!
Provisioning runs covered the quarterberth
Sully sat on his dock steps one last time. We don’t need these while we’re cruising! We’ll be using our dinghy boarding ladder to get on and off the boat.
The watermaker is a SeaQuencher 200 and it’s installed and putting out water at about 7 gallons per hour.

The boat basin at Chula Vista
We stayed an extra night at Chula Vista and are getting underway for Glorietta Bay to hang out on the hook through Friday and then go to LaPlaya for the weekend.
