Welcome aboard Sullivan!

We have wonderful news to report! On June 11, at 1:18 AM, Natalie brought Sullivan Brooks Kraft into the world at Best Start Birth Center in San Diego, CA. He weighed 7 lbs, 8 oz and was 22 inches long. He came Aboard Astraea for the first time that afternoon. Both Natalie and Sullivan are doing well and we’re enjoying our time together as a family. Natalie’s mom, Vicky, is staying with us until June 20th and she’s excited to be a grandma!

Astraea Tour

Now that we’re living aboard Astraea it’s time to show off her interior. Natalie took some pretty nice photos showcasing our new home. She’s spacious enough for a growing liveaboard family like us.

Immediately to starboard is the master cabin with two hanging lockers and drawers

Once inside, immediately to port is the navigation station. The nav station seat is the bottom of two at sea quarterberths. Forward of that is the galley.

The interior is covered in teak veneer and gives the boat a classic yachting feel and looks great.

The V Berth is all the way up forward. Right now it's loaded with baby stuff. There is an upper and lower berth with a hanging locker and drawers.

We still have trim removed and the overhead needs recovered, but the cabin is fine for now. Thanks for coming Aboard Astraea and taking the tour. Later I’ll show you what’s going on topside.
