I received an email in December from Richard, one of the previous owners of Astraea. He had a copy of the original Master Carpenter’s Certificate, a promotional flyer from Jack Barr Yacht Sales and an original Cheoy Lee 41 brocure. I’ll be adding this information to the Astraea Page to add more history behind the boat.
Happy Thanksgiving!
This is a special late edition of Aboard Astraea. Forgive my tardiness, but I’ve got to share our Thanksgiving visit and sail with Aunt Annemarie, Uncle Mitch and Cousins Tampa and Anais.
Whenever folks come to visit I give them the grand tour of the marina, including the artwork. Here I am with Tampa and Mitch.

The day after Thanksgiving we went for a day sail in San Diego Bay. Tampa had been practicing her port/starboard, forward/aft routine for the past two days so she was ready to take the helm.
