Stuart Island is by far my favorite of the San Juan Islands. It’s rustic, pristine, great holding for the boat. Oh, and when we pulled in we sailed all the way. I really enjoyed hiking the island and taking our time ashore. The green algae made the water green, and Poseidon stole my sunglasses but it was awesome. If you go to the San Juans, you must go here. Sucia, eh. I think it’s overrated. When we left the wind was light and we motored the whole way to Sucia and anchored in Echo Bay.
